1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

We collect no personal information. HitchReady does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share any personally identifiable information to use the app.

The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Your rig configuration (rig type, slideout count, equipment selections)
• Checklist completion history and timestamps
• Custom checklist items you create
• Items you have hidden from your checklists
• Your next departure date and reminder preferences
• Settings and preferences

This data never leaves your device. It is stored in a local SQLite database managed by the app. We have no access to this data, and it is not transmitted to any server.

3. Information we do NOT collect

• Name, email address, or any contact information
• Location data — HitchReady does not access your GPS or location
• Usage analytics or behavioral tracking
• Crash reports or diagnostic data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Payment information — purchases are processed entirely by Google Play or Apple App Store

4. Push notifications

If you set a departure reminder, HitchReady will schedule a local push notification on your device at the time you specify. This notification is generated and delivered entirely on your device — it does not pass through our servers. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

5. In-app purchases

HitchReady offers optional paid features. All purchases are processed by Google Play (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS). We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment card information. Purchase records are managed entirely by Google or Apple under their respective privacy policies.

6. Third-party services

HitchReady does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or data collection services. The app does not contain ads.

If you tap a "Watch how" button on a checklist item, you will be directed to YouTube. YouTube's privacy policy applies to any content viewed there. We do not share any information with YouTube when you do this.

7. Children's privacy

HitchReady is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since we collect no personal information from any users, this applies equally to all age groups.

8. Data retention and deletion

All data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all app data at any time by:

• Using the "Clear all history" option in Settings → Data
• Uninstalling the app from your device, which removes all locally stored data

Since we hold no data on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete on our end.

9. Data security

Your data is stored in a local database on your device and is subject to your device's built-in security protections (screen lock, device encryption, etc.). We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and using a screen lock for general security.

10. Changes to this policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and post the new policy at hitchready.com/privacy. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data under laws such as GDPR (European Union) or CCPA (California). Since HitchReady collects no personal data, there is no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete on our end. All data the app stores is on your device and fully under your control.
